Diana's journey began at Eastman Kodak Company and St. John Fisher University in Rochester, NY. After tying the knot and starting a family, she decided to stay home and nurture her two daughters. She immersed her daughters in a world of activities and classes, from Brownies and Girl Scouts to dance, swimming, soccer, gymnastics, cheerleading, and art.

During a summer art camp, she met Joanne Sharpe, an artist, and was inspired to learn how to paint furniture. Together, Diana and Joanne crafted Jean Purses for Fairport Canal Days. Diana also picked up jewelry making and launched her own business, Vintage Inspirations. She also showcased her art and vintage treasures at Sheazzie Loo’s and The Enchanted Rose Garden.

Diana was on the lookout for another art passion in the area, and a friend recommended Howard VanBuren, a watercolor artist. New to watercolor, she instantly fell in love with it. Her dream is to paint plein air, capturing the breathtaking Finger Lakes landscapes.

Diana has had her art displayed at the Bloomfield Library, the Bristol Library, the Wood Library, The Artists’ Loft at the Cheshire Union, and at the White Springs Winery. Diana is a member of the Ontario County Arts Council. She has shared:

“I want to create paintings that make people happy.”

“I am amazed at the range of emotions that art can evoke, and I love sharing the joy I feel with each painting.”

When she’s not painting, Diana loves diving into books, spending quality time with her family, and exploring flea markets to discover unique objects that spark her creativity and fill her art studio with inspiration. Diana believes in a simple philosophy: “Smile and be kind.”
