Diana worked at Eastman Kodak Company and St. John Fisher University in Rochester, New York. After marriage and starting a family, she decided to stay home and raise her two girls. Diana enrolled her daughters invarious activities and classes such as Brownies, Girl Scouts, dance class, swimming, soccer, gymnastics, cheerleading and art. At an art camp one summer, she met an artist, Joanne Sharpe and enrolled in classes on how to paint furniture. Diana and Joanne made Jean Purses for Fairport Canal Days. She learned how to make jewelry and started her own business, Vintage Inspirations. Diana also had spaces at Sheazzie Loo’s and The Enchanted Rose Garden selling her art and vintage finds.

Diana wanted to find another art interest in the area and afriend told her about Howard VanBuren, a watercolor artist. New to this medium, she immediately fell in love with it. Her goal is to paint plein air capturing Finger Lakes landscapes.

Diana has had art exhibitions at the Bloomfield Library, theBristol Library, the Wood Library, The Artists’ Loft at the Cheshire Union and at the White Springs Winery. Diana is a member of the Ontario County Arts Council. Diana has said “I want to create paintings that make people happy.” “I am amazed at the range of emotions thatart can evoke and I love sharing the joy I feel with each painting.”

When she is not painting, her time is spent reading books,spending time with her family and exploring flea markets to find unique objects to surround herself with beauty so that every corner of her art studio inspires her to create. Diana’s philosophy in life is simple; “Smile and be kind.”
